As I mentioned in the post below this one, we suffered a loss this morning of one of the most prolific shakuhachi teachers and makers of all time. When I woke up and read this I immediately went to play Tamuke for him and decided to record it. Normally, I never share my playing through recordings on the blog but today I would like to do so.

I'm saddened by Yokoyama's passing. His Koten honkyoku album is a fixture in my mix. Awesome playing Brian. Huge improvement since the Hon shirabe post(and that wasn't too shabby either) you should post more often.

Thanks Rick, I had just woken up and not warmed up yet. I was pleasantly surprised it came out as well as it did. I knew where it could be better but I wanted to post the first one they way it came out for Yokoyama. I will have a lot more stuff coming up so please stay tuned :)
